CPM-M4 Steel
CPM-M4 is one of the premier steels for quality custom blades and knives in competitive cutting. It is a special purpose, high speed steel produced by the particle metallurgy process. This blade offers:
- Advanced alloy composition
- High vanadium content
- Exceptional wear resistance and toughness
- Outstanding edge retention and impact resistance
One of the many reasons people love M4 blades is the ability to do a patina with the them. The amazing example above is from user Liquid Cobra on the Spyderco Forum. Different methods lead to unique designs.
The Exclusive Family
When Blade HQ released the exclusive Paramilitary 2 with M4 steel, it sold out in a day. With the Military release, now those owners can add to their collection and others can start a collection of their own.
And hey, word around town is there are a few more surprises in the works. The suspense is real.
Just like the Paramilitary 2 M4, the Military M4 is destined to be a highly-sought collector’s item.
Build Quality
When somebody asked Spyderco’s chief designer which knife he would send with his kids if they were being deployed, he responded with three criteria:
- The blade had to have ferocious cutting power and edge life
- It had to be ergonomic and lightweight
- It had to be virtually indestructible and as close to maintenance-free as possible
The resulting Spyderco Military was born and is one of the most enduring designs ever produced.
