Michael Janich’s Knives
Inspired by personal defensive carry, Michael Janich’s Yojimbo 2 is a tactical beast. Every element on this knife is an active decision with the ultimate goal of making you a more lethal human in the event of a physical altercation.
A straight, Wharncliffe blade delivers full power all the way from heel to tip. The knife is easily deployed in a multitude of ways and the knife itself can be gripped in any number of different positions. The Yojimbo 2 features Spyderco’s Compression Lock which boasts a number of extreme benefits. To disengage the lock, your fingers never need to be in the path of the blade. Additionally, the blade can never be accidentally closed during use as the locking mechanism is against the hand during use. The blade sandwich locked open between the blade ramp and the stop pin. The blade pushes deeper on thrusts due to the ramp-like blade shape.
The Yojimbo 2 succeeds the original, but both models are incredibly similar. The main difference we see from 1 to 2 is the removal of blade spine jimping, a 4-way ambi pocket clip, and slightly increased blade length. This Blade HQ Exclusive features CPM-M4 blade steel and Natural G-10 handle scales.
Is this knife all (tactical) bite or does it hang as an EDC knife, too? With a mix of strong ergonomics, 3″ of blade, and a nice ride in the pocket, this knife is worthy of rotation time even if you’re more Mr. Miyagi than Jet Li.
Don’t miss your chance to add this classic to your collection! 10AM MT on October 2nd, 2018. The Blade HQ Exclusive Spyderco Yojimbo 2.
